Horticulture Rivalry.

I'm afraid that Xavier may be getting jealous. This is our cute little christmas tree! It is all of about one and a half feet tall, and adorned with white lights and an assortment of silver balls, with a paper star on top that I made last year out of wrapping paper and ribbon.

We didn't name the Christmas tree. Xavier still has that going for him. And come January, the Christmas tree will be by the dumpster with all the other Christmas trees in our neighborhood. Maybe we should give X some lights to cheer him up a little.

My Two Front Teeth.

Hi Friends! I'm still here. Silent, but here. Christmastime has been keeping me very busy lately, which hasn't left me a lot of time for writing.

We recently had a Christmas program here at the school which the students worked so hard on. When it was finally time for them to get up on stage and sing their songs and recite their lines I felt like such a proud mama watching them from the audience. I took pictures, and mouthed the words along with them. It was great.
The angels are pretty much self-explanatory, but the teeth picture isn't. My students sang the song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" and did a wonderful job. Like I said -- I was so proud.

We also decorated our classroom a bit. Here are some of my rockin' decorations:

Tomorrow is my last day of school before Christmas break. On Sunday I head out for India where I will be for 2 weeks. Woo Hoo! I will be visiting some friends from home who now live in Kolkata, as well as doing all sorts of touristy stuff in Darjeeling, Delhi, and Agra. Look for pictures to come of me at the Taj Mahal. :-)
