He is Risen!
He is Risen indeed!
Easter has always been a favorite holiday of mine. I could almost even say that Easter is to me a lot like what Christmas is to other people. I love it THAT much. It is a time of year where I can't help but to sing, and to feel the Joy of the Lord bubbling up within me. And not to mention the fact that I have more Easter traditions than I have Christmas traditions. Although this year is quite different. I miss home today. But it is a beautiful thing to know that no matter where you are, the truth of God remains the same, and He indeed is risen, and we have reason to celebrate. Please pray for my students, as I have been, and will continue telling them about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I will actually be returning to the states very soon. And by "soon" I mean two weeks.
"Bittersweet" doesn't even skim the top off of my feelings. I am tired, and it will be good to be home, but I will be leaving a piece of my heart in this amazing place, with with my beautiful little brown-eyed 1st graders that I have come to love so much.
