Pockets.

I bought a really cute skirt the other day for a really good deal. Don't you just love after-Christmas sales when stores are practically giving stuff away?

After wearing the skirt for a while I was struck by a small detail in the design: This skirt has pockets.

I remember a conversation I once had with my mother, about her mother, and pockets. You see,  if my grandmother had seen my skirt with pockets, she would have wanted to sew them up! She would have said that it isn't lady-like for a woman to stand around with her hands in her pockets, slouched over like a boy.

I got a good laugh out of my pocketed skirt, and did my best to wear it in an un-boyish manner.
