All work and no play?

Question of the day:
What language do you speak if you're an American in a Mexican restaurant in Thailand?

Weekends are nice, because we get a chance to relax and refresh. I haven't even been here a week, so at this point there isn't a whole lot that needs recuperating from, but once we really get into the throws of the school year, these weekends off will be just what we need. This afternoon I went swimming and enjoyed a nice lunch at a Mexican restaurant.

This morning we went to an English-speaking church in the area. Being in a country with huge Buddhist and Animistic influences can become very heavy on your soul, but it is very refreshing to be able to go somewhere and hear the truth of Scripture taught. That is what I hope to become with my students once classes begin. As a teacher in a Christian school, I will have all liberty to share the Word with my students. Please be praying with me for these children now, even before I meet them.

I vote for French or maybe Italian. What's the point in speaking Spanish, Thai, or English? Just add to the fun and confuse everyone. Hey, you could even speak Greek!!!!!!

I'd beg to differ Suzanne...I'd say speak Spanish in a Mexican restaurant. In Rome, do as the Romans do. And in a Mexican restaurant...that's what you gotta do.
Elizabeth, sorry that I didn't get to see you face to face before you left. Know that you are missed her, but we will be praying for your effectiveness over here. Please keep us informed via email. How's the training for teaching going so far?

I'd throw money at them and then steal the food, but then say it's not stealing because you paid for it. And...I'm not random, because Jedidiah knows me.

I like Dan's idea. But might I also suggest the African dialect of Tsotsitaal? Mainly cause its nearly extinct and I think people should start bringing it back.
