I have been saving for quite some time now for a new DSLR camera, and this month marked the finish line. I had finally saved enough to buy it. It took a few days for the fact to sink in that I could actually go ahead and get it now. Then I sat and looked at it for a while as it sat in my virtual Amazon cart. I even had to get my husband for support as I gathered the courage to hit the "Submit Order" order button, thus draining several hundred dollars from my savings that I had been accumulating for so long. But it is done, and now all I have to do is wait for the UPS truck to show up.

My current camera, a Cannon Rebel, has been a good and faithful friend who introduced me to the world of manual photography. We've enjoyed capturing many happy memories together. But it is time for me to move on. And it will move on too. Soon it will be traveling to be with my incredibly creative sister who I hope will enjoy it as much as I have.

Congratulations!!!! A D3100 is the same camera that I have and I love it! Can't wait to see some pics you take with it. If you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to ask!
